More About My Family Child Care: Aunt Chrissy's Daycare was designed with kids in mind. My walkout basement is dedicated to my childcare business. I put a lot of thought into everything from the special safety outlets to the child friendly décor. The playroom has lots of toys for all ages. Puzzles, games, Little People and lots of dramatic play items just to name a few. Painting, crafts and lunch are some of the activities that happen in the craft room. Story and music time are spent in the living room. In the backyard, there is a sandbox, playhouse, two climbing cubes, and a garden for the kids. Loftus park is within walking distance. I have a theme based preschool curriculum for those 2 yrs and older. Letters, numbers, colors, shapes plus many other concepts are covered. I incorporate music, art, stories, math, games, cooking and science into each two week unit. I use the Zoophonics Curriculum for teaching letter sounds and beginning reading. I also teach the infants and toddlers sign language. I am on a food program so nutritious meals are always served. Aunt Chrissy's Daycare offers lots of TLC in a small group setting. Hours: M-F 7:00am-5:30m. Reasonable rates. Other Comments: Updated 2/1/2017 I attend over 25 hours of training each year. This keeps me up-to-date and gives me many new fun ideas to try.
